  #comment: "Two wooden caskets (wooden has vanished) comprising coins and jewelry were found at 50 cm one from the other in a pithos pit in the citadel of Artezia. Inside the casket were 99 Bosporan bronze coins, which had most probably initially been placed in a small purse made of cloth or leather. The coins were thoroughly arranged in rouleaus. In the casket, there was also a large gold ring with which a small pile of nine silver Roman denarii had fused. Under the ring in the cluster of coins, an iron knife had been found with a bronze ring, which had stuck to its blade when oxidization had taken place. Further finds had been seven small trilobate iron-tanged arrowheads and one bronze bilobate socketed arrowhead dating from the Hellenistic period. Several bronze bracelets were found in the casket, made from thin wire which had collapsed in pieces; an elegant bronze ring; a spring-clasp earring made of poor-quality silver; two curved bronze strap buckles with a protruding tongue; a curved strap fastener with two rivets on a rectangular plate, a small bronze ring, a silver buckle, bronze pincers, the fragmentary remains of a bow-shaped fibula with a broad back-plate and a fragment of a thin-walled convex plaque made of bronze. On the bottom of the casket between the coins and the jewelry items there lay on its side a figured two-sided glass unguentarium. On top of the coins and jewelry there lay two large hollow silver anklets, and inside these, there was a necklace made of large eye-beads, an astragal, a large bone pendant-cum-talisman triangular in shape, and also a small bronze amulet made of two pipes soldered together, which collapsed in part when it was being cleaned. On the casket, two small one-handled jugs made from blue and white and greenish-yellow transparent glass had been standing in situ. While the hoard was being cleaned fragments of another glass vessel had also been found and two narrow-necked thin-walled unguentaria as well."
