Sherds of a ceramic vessel were discovered during the excavation of the findspot in 1970. These sherds were coated with copper-alloy corrosion products indicating a link with the hoard. When the vessel was reconstructed the coins nearly filled it, leading Mihăilescu-Bírlaba to suggest that all coins from the hoard had been recovered. The vessel is handmade with the mouth not uniform. It has been identified as being Group BII under Gh. Bichir's classification system.
